Sometime this coming weekend we will likely try to upgrade to Liferay version 7.

If this upgrade is the unpleasant vedanic tones in the posterior impermanent flesh that it typically is, expect instability and complexity.

Thanks to Simon for tech support to bring us back up after I upgraded the server to version 5 and osx to el capitan.

Next phase is the Liferay 7 upgrade, which, if past experience is any guide, will be samsaric. Expect instability.

Well, initial attempts to upgrade lead to errors, as before, predicted time to upgrade at this point, maybe two weeks, but not sure. Last time we initially thought it might be on that timescale and it took a year, so who knows?

Anyway, if the DhO is unstable in this period, our appologies.

I have commissioned Artem to re-do the Messaging and Rotating Logo features to be compatible with Liferay 7, assuming we get Liferay 7 up. Hopefully those won't take too long, but, if they don't function during the intervening period, accept our apologies.
