I appreciate this nuanced critical discussion from Daniel that problematizes some arguments and puts Buddhism into a more nuanced context without getting into reactivity about claims and word choices and without getting black and white about either awakening or sanity. At the same time, what Rosa criticizes about Buddhism is, while not fair to the actual sutras and advanced practices, all too common in some popular constructs of it, so I can appreciate where she comes from.
