One of the texts that Daniel recommends in his book (I'm not sure if its the exact same title, but it is the same topic and same author, correct me if I'm wrong)

Analysis of the Jhãnas in Theravãda Buddhist Meditation - Ven. H. Gunaratana

Andy.

Yeah, the traditional stuff is dry, but there is sometimes gold hidden in the dust.

I think it's important for us to clarify what Dan is saying here, just to be safe. It would seem he's implying that this 'gold' is difficult to find within the aforementioned 'dust.' Ergo, the gold must also be 'dust;' gold dust, you see. Tricky indeed. You may want one of these. Also, you will want some water on hand, because the materials are 'dry' and it appears that you cannot use the linked tool above without liquid.

Would you also clarify what you are saying? emoticonemoticonemoticonemoticon

Thanks for reminding me of that Daniel, bur for now I'm overloaded with enough (accesible) information to get me going for a big while emoticon I just found that in the almighty .pdf format rather than html and thougth it may be of interest for the people around.

Cheers,

Andy.

I can think of another liquid that would make understanding the ancient texts more easy!

If it works for French homework, who's to say it won't work for Pali or Sanskrit?
