Does any one have any experience and or knowledge of using Binaural Beat sound machines as an aid to developing concentration?

I experimented with them briefly. The experiment was valuable to me because I recognized similar vibrations in my ordinary hearing, something I use as a meditation object.

Only marginally connected to this topic, but interesting in its own right: a blogger being threatened with legal action for writing a critical piece about the offerings of a well-known vendor of binaural beats CDs.
