Hello, this is my first post on the forum
I remember seeing some writing, post or blog or something, by Kenneth Folk, where he described different stages of awakening, like 7 or 8 of them. I can't seem to find it anymore, I'd appreciate if someone could be able to link it to me.

The additional stages look a bit... relative to me. Is anyone else using this map or finding it useful?

That map has been abandoned by Kenneth as far as I know. It didn't last long and did not survive his own further investigations.

Show me a model and I'll be able to find someone who can describe their practice experience that way, even if the model creator has moved on

People who abandon their maps annoy me. Especially without explaining why and what further investigations led them to that point.
Having acknowledged they were wrong (by abandonment) what makes them think that their current decision is less wrong? Wrong maps at least might help you see what went wrong, or contain some good stuff.
It makes it more difficult for those who follow maps, and I do love me my maps.
If I ever stop mapping, slap me.

@DreamWalker:
I think a big part of the issue is the question of whether or not a change was permanent. In Kenneth's case, it seems that what was permanent was the knowledge gained about the relativity of all experiences. It becomes interesting when this type of approach is compared with others, such as those in which people do reach permanent peaks. I think both of us can agree that technical 4th path is only an optional end point, and the stance that all experiences are relative is only one possible spirituality. Other "free agents" seem to be discovering stabillized aspects of awareness. And on it goes...

Stage 11: Meditator begins to hallucinate little green men and feels the need to speak about them. In fact, if the meditator does not let everyone around him know he is seeing these men, he is not considered to be o stage 11.

New Englanders (in the US) have turned this into a high folk-art with the classic map-navigation advice "You can't get there from here."
