Speaking from a fractual point of view, what if stream entry entailed entrance into a stream of consciousness that involved reestablishing your awareness into a past version of your self. Once you reach a specific state of being you have the choice of instantly reincarnating into your younger self at any age providing you can visualise that point and intend it.
This situation would satisfy several criteria of long held beliefs in religious dogma.
Eternal life: The ability to travel back to your previous youthful self.
All your sins forgiven: Once you travel back any misdeads you did in the past would be erased from history.
Your family and friends greeting you in the after life: Once you travel back they will still be there.
Science it's self has given credence to this concept.
"There is no frame of absolute reference within are universe, everything that exists does so within it's own frame of reference. Which can only be relative to other frames of reference. Because of this every measurement of time must be relative."
From a relative point of view, what was happening to you 20 years ago is still happening today, somewhere. Since space is relative to time, if you could travel instantaneously to that point in space, you would experience your self at that time.
The buddha stated all things are impermanant. Does that not mean space and time is impermanant aswell? If space and time are relative to the observer, and the observer can move instantaneoulsy through space, then time has no meaning, relative to the observer.
Of course this is all dependent on your ability to transfer your awarness from your present state of being to you past state of being!
I will give you one clue to that. When what you consider as you, in a perticular space in your head, starts to sway side to side in ever increasing severity, that is the time to chose.
