It doesn't seem that useful, for I can't gain any substantive applied and sustained thought, but it seems evocative after reading Daniel's chapter on concentration in MCTB2.

I have been noting all day, seeing what might come of my deepened access concentration. I am also rereading MCTB2 after it has come out. I got the hang of reading and noting but never developed jhAna. Tired now.

Being transported without an accompanied fruition. That is what I just experienced. Access concentration can facilitate mystical experience, but not insight without jhana.
I would like to recommend gentle practice.

I love access concentration. With insight and jhana, it's all or nothing. Access concentration is beautiful because it constantly can be reevaluated.

Edit. My guess is that it would be different for a Spanish first language speaker. Multiculturalism is a significant concept that doesn't get much press. My guess is that someone who earned a living as a translator would most benefit from a dry insight path of least resistance.

So the question that follows is how is your level of access concentration in terms of depth related to the scatter pattern of NS hits.
