I would like to go on a ten day retreat, or thereabouts, in Illinois. Can anyone recommend a place? There is the Illinois Vipassana Meditation Center which teaches the scanning method of S.N. Goenka, but I am currently doing samadhi meditation by focusing on the breath and I sort of just want to do that, so a place where they let you do your own thing would be cool.

I don't have any experience here, but this came through the Madison Insight Meditation Group's email list a month or two back. I only really took note of it because it seems to be pretty close to where I'm located. Looks like they have a Theravada background and offer "DIY" style retreats. Could be worth looking into?
