I found this post on Gary Weber's Blog "Happiness Beyond Thought":
Surrendering the "I", letting go of suffering
I haven't tried it to any extent but it strikes me as being very effective, and simple. It involves some info from Byron Katie and also the Sedonna Method to help release thoughts and feelings, helping to minimize "I".The whole Blog is worth a look if it's new to you.
Metta,
Brian.

I wonder if these techniques lead to total unbinding/deathless/nibbana..moreover , are these authors themselves completely free of suffering ? They still seem to be trapped in the human condition.

I don't beleive so, for the two authors used as sources in the article. Though I think Gary Weber is pretty darn close, if not there, and it's his blog post, so I personally feel comfortable using and suggesting it as worthy of a read. What you do with the info from there is up to you.
I suspect these methods are provided as useful tools on the path, not as the only tools you will ever need.
Brian.
