I was sitting here as I entered meditation some light attention to the breath and abdomin. All of a sudden I was out of body but rather than seeing my so-called surroundings instead I was permeated with a vision of my brain operating on all brain wave frequencies that had assembled into a discoursive chain.
This is new to me because I have never heard of the brain waves being the insight cycles themselves. It was like seeing all the fruitions through all the doors at once.

The feeling tone was horrible though.

Also it brings up the question as to how to indentify animals practicing vipassana vs. shamatha.

In the afterglow of my attainment I saw a Robin practicing what I considered concentration or insight and some state swallowed it up and then spit it back out.

If there is a takeaway from this it would be the necessity of having ample places to sit and observe nature.

I'll tell you more. The animal observation involved two sense doors. It was like if you are reading a book about nature and you also have a bookmark that is about nature, albiet different themes than from the book. At some point you pause, reflecting on the beauty of the passage while simultaneously admiring the book mark. There are two sense doors involved. My observation was a physical rearrangement of such a scenario.

Out of body experiences that involve seeing highly intuitive, connected things like that regarding vibrations is very A&P-esque.
