Yeah well, it looked like the owner's access rights could have been very empty all of a sudden within a few clicks from my side. I'm sort of hoping that it only looked that way.

Haha! I still really miss the mischievous yet disarmingly joyful and cute smurf smiley that we have on the other forum I'm moderating. We have pacman too, though, and if one is curious enough to click on a little pacman ghost in one of the corners, one finds a whole new secret section.

At least avatar changed on first try.
I would like them to be displayed as little larger because this layout has so much space everywhere (I guess this is modern design philosophy - waste as much screen space as possible...) there is no real reason to make avatars so tiny.

Messages page is completely broken. It states workaround and nothing else.
Besides with new Liferay version it is impossible to go to user page as clicking on either avatar or name does not work anymore.
Wiki page has no entires (so I guess missing MCTB pages issue was finally fixed )

But yeah, we at least are no longer in Annica limbo.
I wonder if there are any plans to apply different theme. I would like something like DhO had in the past. It was nice and welcoming. Liferay 6 theme was bland and sterile but still better than this new theme which looks like it was using css for printing...

Is this really the final version of DhO? The website looks kind of unpolished . But kudos to the one who upgraded the site  

I wonder if we will ever get our messages back or if the structure for them simply didn't transfer well. 

Hector, I'm sorry that we seem to have hi-jacked this thread to talk about the impermanence on a more serious note with regard to the upgrade. There is some humor to that, though, on a meta-level. This forum is all (well, a lot anyway) about practices that emphasize impermanence, and yet the apparent impermanence of the forum itself seems to bug us a lot. It sure bugs me. 

There is currently an issue of getting logged out from the forum very rapidly, so posts written while that happens disappear when hitting "publish". Anyone bugged by the impermanence is strongly adviced to keep copying their posts before publishing them (or to let go). 

I guess you are using the forum on iPad? This logout thing hasn't happened to me. I've logged in once after the upgrade and no log out after that.

Hector, the persistence of this thread is an outrageous anomaly in light of the Three Characteristics as well as, technically speaking, impossible. I think you have achieved deathlessness with your impermanence humor!
