Emptiness is a word that tends to get used many different ways and is relatively ambiguous due to that fact.

The two most common uses are:

• Referring to the no-self Characteristic of all phenomena, in that they are empty of a separate, permanent self, as they are causal, self-aware, and transient, luminous, etc.
• Referring to Fruition.
