Hi everyone,
If you have an android phone,
You can download a free app called FB Reader :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.geometerplus.zlibrary.ui.android&hl=en
Also download the TTS Plugin:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hyperionics.fbreader.plugin.tts_plus&hl=en
If you have a Samsung phone, then the default Samsung UK/US English voice is very clear and natural sounding.
If not, then you can download an app called Ivona HQ for free. The UK Amy voice is one of the clearest.
Here is a good place to start looking for free ebooks : http://www.dhammatalks.org/ebook_index.html
Now, you can load any ebook you want in the epub format on FB Reader, and go to "Speak Plus".
Your phone will start reading the book for you and you can adjust speed/pitch if you need to.
This technology has been very useful to me as I am now able utilize my commuting times to listen to Dharma. Hope you find it useful as well.
There must be similar software available for PC/MAC and IOS/Windows phone, but I haven't tried any. Look around a bit and you're likely to find something you can use in the same way.
If you have any technical queries or there's something I missed out on, then please post below and I'll try to help you.
