Are stream-enterers supposedly literally physically unable to drink alcohol?

Try reading this piece by Daniel Ingram: http://www.interactivebuddha.com/arahats.shtml

While it speaks about Arahats, I think you can use similar thinking for models of stream entry.

Since becoming a sotapanna, I've found that I have no attachment to or desire to drink, but should I put the liquid to my lips, it does go down.

Does anyone have any experiences to share that could perhaps shed some light? this is not a topic that is often discussed in zen/theravada circles.

i've gotten trashed numerous times after stream entry =). i haven't found being enlightened to hinder my physical ability to drink in the slightest, indeed, it might have helped reduce aversion to the bitter taste, though my tolerance is lower now having left college. why do you ask?
