Looking for unenlightened control group for Buddha in a hottub experiment. I thought this might be the right place to look ;).

Ahhh so that's what all that chopped wood and carried water is for...

So how does this work?  You set up a hottub party with lots of worldly temptations abounding & see who can meditate & ignore it all the longest?

It’s something Daniel Ingram - half jokingly, half seriously, I guess - suggests to challenge those who claim to be past all human responses such as even getting a boner. He argues it’s just a myth that arhatship or even third path would lead to that. So "the hottie in the hottub experiment" has become a widely spread inside joke. 

I laughed at the post beginning this thread. But I also thought that if someone were to really set up this experiment, this would probably be just the right place to look for a control group. Those are supposed to be similar to the experiment group in as many regards as possible apart from the factor you're testing, after all.
