The Contemplative Studies Centre at the University of Melbourne is commencing an exciting new study into how people’s meditation practice unfolds over time, titled Benchmarking change in meditation practice: A Delphi study. They are seeking experienced teachers or therapists of Vipassana/Insight or Theravada meditation, Zen/Chan, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) to get their perspective on how they understand this process. Participation involves undertaking three online consultation surveys and participants will be rewarded for their time. These surveys will attempt to capture the kind of changes teachers and therapists expect in their meditation students with continued practice. This ground-breaking research seeks to draw on the experience of teachers and therapists working deep in the field of meditation across diverse communities. Participants will provide crucial input into work that will shape future research and support the flourishing of these practices.
