I wasnt aware discussion boards automatically get emailed

how can I read ( please ) online only, without getting email

I received this post as email in my home account -- along with each new post and response here.
I cannot find anywhere here how to terminate email messages from discussion ... yet.
I'm sure there's something I can toggle on the site to do so but an hour's research hasn't yielded fruit

If you have a moment and can assist, I would be very grateful Thank you.

Hi,
Welcome to DhO. I think you can alter the settings for updates by logging into your account, hovering over the "welcome Gary Gach" on the top right. Then choose "my account" from the drop down menu. Near the bottom right under the "Miscellaneous"
heading click on "Announcements", you will then be given options on how(or not) you wish to be notified of updates.

Hopefully this answers your question, is clear, and works. Someone else may have a better method, I'm no expert by any means.

Well, I followed your recipe and when I got to the field you suggested, web (only) was checked, not email.


Maybe someone else might have a kludge, suggestion, solution, etc

Go to "My Subscriptions" (among a few other buttons almost on the top of the discussion page) and check if you inadvertently subscribed to some threads and/or forum categories. If so, you can change that by using the "Actions" button. Maybe that helps (I'm not sure).
