DhO Liferay Update this Weekend: expect downtime

Dear All,

We will try to upgrade the DhO Liferay platform from 6.2 GA2 to GA6 this weekend. Expect instability, complexity and downtime. It has been almost 2 years since we upgraded Liferay, and it is time.

It will be back up when we can get it done.

Many thanks to Manish Yadav for his offer of help. Simon Ekstrand may also be involved.

Sorry about the downtime: internet glitch while I was away at a conference.

How this relates to our attempts to upgrade to Liferay 6.2 GA6 from GA2 I don't know.

We are currently running on GA2, so there will be attempts at some point to upgrade to GA6.

Anyway, expect downtime at some point and glitches.

Apologies in advance.

Many thanks to Simon and Manish for helping with this, as Liferay upgrades are a taxing business.
