Forum: A Dry Insight Technique for Attaining Path
Kenneth,
i just had to go back to this "dry insight" topic again after watching Shinzen Young's dharma talk last night.
see: "Ordinary Consciousness is the Way"
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoSAkuNJWQ8
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd0pYyf61Vw
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wURSgVVUAjE
the technique that you mentioned is very much similar to Shinzen's "focus on change" technique (see pdf: http://bit.ly/zcQP), which is one of my main practices. i prefer my insight dry like a shot of vodka the "STOPPING COLD" of vibrations/waves/movement are indeed "gateways" to insight. thanks again, Kenneth for this reminder. will always keep this in mind and apply on *both* waking and dreaming practice.
