This is a simple theoretical idea about lining up stages of insight and basic neurology, as an intellectual musing. Not sure if it is relevant or useful, let's see.

- safety / reptilian brain;
- satisfaction / mammal brain;
- connection / primate brain.
- bhaya-ñana (unsafety, fear);
- adinava-ñana (misery, unable to satisfy, body/mind inherently producing suffering);
- nibbida-ñana (depression, melancholy, loneliness; dispassion, and in a way the tendency to disconnection).
