There has always seemed a paradox woven into study of the Way. If you study it the next step is to enact the ideas you just studied, but you don't want that kind of intentionality active, so you kind of accidentally take a step backwards. Then when that fails you're off into ruminative thought wondering what you did wrong and studying how you can fix it. The more you read about it the more complex a maze you so create inside you, and although you may be close to breaking through as the crow flies, there are hundreds of miles yet to travel to escape the maze.

Hi Brian,

It seems that, as you try new ideas and concepts, you develop an expectation and attachment around your ability or outcomes. This looks like your hurdle. Your suffering.
