Describe your experience of formations

I've read the MCTB description of formations, but I'd like to hear your guys' own descriptions. What leads up to them? What are they like? How long do they last? How do you encourage their arising?

I think this could be helpful for people on the cusp of experiencing them or maybe already experiencing them, but haven't recognized them as such.

Thanks,
Metta,
Teague

Hi Teague and thanks for asking MY question for me. I have been presuming that the experience of Formations will be so obvious that this experience will obviate the question. Despite the excellent conceptual framework in MCTB I find the experiential / phenomenolgical description of the presentation of Formations (when first encountered lacking.

Sorry if this frames the intent of your question improperly but at least it may help the thread to bob up in the recent posts.

Cheers

It references a conversation on this site between Daniel and Jackson Wilshire which on finds again here:
