Hi,
I recently started a 12 week meditation course at this website: www.vipassana.com
This is a hands-on course that comprises different Theravada meditation techniques: anapanasati, brahmavihāras (loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy and equanimity) and two vipassana meditations (Mahasi-style and Choiceless Awarenes).
I really like the course because:
1) Compact format (you get one meditation instruction per day related to the current meditation technique)
2) You commit with yourself to sit daily (this improves the chances that you practice regularly)
3) it feels like a mini-retreat embedded in the daily life
4) The guy that runs the website seems to know very well what he is talking about
I think this is a good course for beginners or experienced mediators that need some regular framework/structure.
It costs 125$ for the 12 weeks (a fair price I think).
My conclusion: this is something worth having a look, furthermore, I bet that this could be a model that can be implemented at DhO.
Have fun,
Guillermo
