Here is an incomplete list of names, terms and other words entities you may find here that may be in another language (e.g. Pali or Sanskrit), be relatively tradition-specific, may be abbreviations, or many have somewhat different usage on this site and in this loose community from how many use them, not that there is always perfect agreement on exactly what some of these terms mean. Regardless of whose definition is "right", knowing how these terms tend to be used here as well as what controversies surround them will help those who are unfamiliar with them to have a better idea of what is being talked about:
