What do you guys think about the Kadampa Buddhism centers or the Dallas Shambhala Meditation Center or the maria kannon zen center. I'm looking for a teacher, would you recommend one of these?

Kadampa Buddhism is very controversial - and also very very vigorous in getting new members. You can find a lot of info, both pro and con on the internet.
I have no personal experience of the Shambhala centers but they appear to be well set up and run. The one near me has some excellent visiting teachers.
