I had my first experience of "nowness" a number of years ago after thinking about time and suddenly realizing it didn't exist as a "thing." Is that mahamudra, then?
EDIT: I have to say, this stuff reads a lot like my journal entries... The tibetians should calm down with all the terminology they use because this kind of simple guidance is very effective, haha. Who needs "Form is emptiness" and "attend to the primordial awareness behind thoughts" when you can just point things out in simple sentences like this. ^^
